What age do quail have to be when they can live on 1/2" wire?

i put mine on 1/2 wire at a couple of weeks old

So at about 2 weeks of age the bids can be put on 1/2" wire

Mine did fine at 1 week on 1/2 hardware cloth. I just kept papertowels down for the first 7 days.
